India secured a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in their ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 match in Pune on Tuesday.
Bangladesh batted first and posted a total of 150 for 6 from their 20 overs. India's bowlers did well to restrict Bangladesh to a manageable total, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel all picking up two wickets each.
In reply, India chased down the target with relative ease, reaching 151 for 3 in just 18.3 overs. Virat Kohli was the star of the show with an unbeaten 64 off 44 balls, while Rohit Sharma (51) and KL Rahul (32) also made significant contributions.
The win takes India to the top of the Group 2 standings with two wins from two matches. Bangladesh, meanwhile, remain in contention for a semi-final spot but will need to win their remaining two matches.
